Army Medical Center Biomedical Laboratory Technical Services

Cayuse Biomedical Laboratory Support services facilitate clinical investigative studies and translational research by providing essential laboratory tasks at an Army Medical Center Department of Clinical Investigation. The scope of work includes specimen collection, processing, and conducting a variety of assays such as radioimmunoassay and ELISA to support cardiovascular, pulmonary, and renal function studies in animal models. Our personnel are responsible for data collection and analysis, ensuring compliance with research protocols and grant requirements. We administer drug doses to research animals, prepare quality control reagents for biomedical assays, and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Adherence to an Army Medical Center policies, Army Regulations, and JCAHO standards is a priority, alongside the enrollment and consent of study participants. Our team also produces data summaries, researches progress reports, and contributes to manuscript preparation, while keeping standard operating procedures up to date with technological advancements.

The Indian Incentive Program is a congressionally sponsored program that provides a 5 percent rebate to a prime contractor on the total amount subcontracted to a Native American owned Economic Enterprise or Native American Organization in accordance with DFARS Clause 252.226-7001. Through the generation of subcontracts, the IIP serves as an economic multiplier for Native American communities. DoD prime contractors with a subcontract worth $500,000 or more that contains the DFARS clause are eligible for incentive payments.
